Buyer Comments:Invoice price disclaimer: I believe that is what I was told but I don't have it in writing so I can't be sure. Conclusion: Not sure if I would do business with them again. Poor communication and not that great a price. Side note: Do not buy from -Tampa Honda Land-, their finance department tried to lie about my creditworthiness and my FICO. luckily I had printed copies of my FICO and credit report in hand to call them out. They then said they couldn't get me a good APR because I was a "first time car buyer" which was also a lie. No other dealer I have been to has ever tried that on me.
Pros:Friendly people. Finance dept. didn't try to lie to me about my credit worthiness in order to jack up the interest rate, which is something Tampa Honda Land tried. Good location, for me at least. Always willing to negotiate (but still not necessarily the best prices).
Cons:GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING! Even then it will still be ignored. They provided my personal and financial data (SS#, income, contact info, etc.) to third parties without my consent. Something I have in writing they were not allowed to do. Wrong delivery date. Two weeks is -not- tomorrow. They said the car was already at a sister store and they had to drive over and pick it up. Using the VIN, I found out it hadn't even left the IA plant. A week into it they even told me it was at the Port of Tampa, coming in from Japan. No joke. Charged $55+ to fill out the DMV tag transfer paper, wouldn't let me do it myself. Charged $600 dealer fee, some would argue that is normal but most dealers are very negotiable when pitted against each other. Poor communication: what you say and what they actually hear are two different things.
