I've done very well at Koons in Silver Spring and they continue to have very good customer service. Just as with any high value purchase with all kinds of financial negotiations etc, you have to stay on your toes and be alert, but this is my second "left over" new car purchase from Koons in two years and in both instances I am confident I got a very good deal and felt like my business was appreciated.
Pros: Straight forward, no-nonsense. Matched the lowest written bid out of 12 dealers in my area-- and I haggled all those prices down.
Cons: Not really a "worst" quality perse, but he got the better of me on my trade-in, but I was well aware that I was paying $500 less than bluebook. The truth is, the price of the vehicle was so far below dealer invoice, that I looked at the vehicle which hadn't been washed or vacuumed in over a year (but still in very good condition--no pets/smoking/stains) and just gave in to convenience.

Cons: paperwork and pounding out price took way too long..bounce back between agent & manager wasted too much of my time when I asked for best price up front and BS add ons such as advertising...who else charges for adverting? certainly not walmat , macy's etc....it is a ridiculous charge.

This was one of my more pleasant car-buying experiences. I dealt with the internet sales manager. It was a fairly easy transaction.
Pros: There was absolutely no sales pressure and no wasted time at the dealership. It was easy to get the dealer's invoicing documents. They were pretty above-board with me THIS time.
Cons: They offered me a rock-bottom price for my trade-in. I passed. I'll sell my old car privately.

Salesman was helpful and patient. After making it clear that I was not in the mood to go back and forth haggling he worked out their bottom line price which was under invoice and about what I expected to pay. They had 6 of the same cars on the lot, that may have had something to do with it. Ken, the finance guy was nice at first, but as soon as he knew we weren't buying any of the extra insurance was short and rude.
Pros: Large dealer, bigger selection.
Cons: Took about 20 minutes and a request to have a salesman help us out.

Al Packer White Marsh in Baltimore offered this price and I called local dealerships seeing if they could match. Three would not, one would. They only had a white one, but I thought the price was outstanding. I confirmed deal points, and went to the dealership to finish the transaction. Seemless transaction, they had the car ready to go and were very honest. They did not try to throw on D&H. Just $14,848 +TTL. The dealer took more than $3,000 off MSRP and with Ford giving $2,000 it made this car a great deal.
Pros: Very competitive on price (at least with this car), honest, they realized time was important and did not play games. Walked into delaership and was leaving in an excellent car 75 minutes later.
Cons: The dealership could use some updated furniture and customer comforts

Pros: Willing to negotiate; pleasant salesperson.
Cons: Using a nebulous, custom "adjusted retail price" number on their customer work sheet which had no relation to the sticker price.
