Tips from Infiniti G35 Buyers

Infiniti of Kirkland
Kirkland, WA
What can I say? No matter what happens, when you buy a car you feel like you got screwed.

Pros: They try hard to make you feel satisfied.

Cons: There was "confusion" about the pricing that made the salesman rescind the original offer; we then renegotiated back to within a couple hundred dollars. Was it real confusion, or just a ploy? Who knows?

Deal with the sales manager.

Pros: Was truly a no hassle experience, but I was prepared, and would have walked away.

Cons: Only one visit to the service department, but I wasn't impressed. Left grease on the door sill, etc.

Overall positive buying experience, although you have to be completely aware because they will try to slip overages in your contract. The salesman assured me I would not be charged for the aftermarket chrome pillars and detail strip, but when they had me sign the contract I was charged 449.00 and 250.00 respectfully.

Pros: Excellent customer service and good product knowledge of the whole staff. Pleasant atmosphere with no pressure to buy even when test driving.

Cons: Do your homework before you go deal with them. It makes the buying experience more passive and the sales associates like dealing with intelligent customers.

I used my AAA card to get a quote for my G35. Similar to the Costco car buying program. I will never buy another car without using this type of service. And you get the car and options at invoice or at least way below MSRP.

Pros: I communicated with the Internet fleet manager for 2-3 weeks on the exact model i wanted with options. I asked for final quote "out the door price with all fees included". When I finally came into the lot and test drove the car, it took only 1 1/2 hours for the entire process. And it was the exact price they had given me through email.

Cons: none that I could think of.

Sales guys are a little shady...... Don't get duped! You need to know your price and the B@LLS to stay strong and not submit to their "sales" pitches.

Pros: Amount of choices available. Service Dept is great and my bad experience (from sales dept)was compensated with free oil change and a full tank of gas when I spoke up and told the General Manager, who called me a week later to check on my level of satisfaction (and to request the title on the traded vehicle; personally I think that the real reason why he called but...) But bottom line is that they do listen to complaints.....and do something about it.

Cons: Sales Dept.

Gunn Infiniti
San Antonio, TX
Outstanding to deal with. Gunn has fixed pricing, with prices set based on how long the car has been on the lot. This could be bad if your combination is new to the lot and you don't want to risk waiting, but for me it was perfect since I got my exact combination of options/colors for a great price, since it was on the lot coming up on 3 months. Honest and straightforward -- I flew one-way from Houston to sign the papers and pick up the car, and there was no funny business at all.

Pros: Fixed pricing Honesty No hidden fees -- low document fee

Cons: None really -- some might not like fixed pricing if their combination not marked down a lot.
