Tips from MINI Cooper Hardtop Buyers

Ottos Mini
West Chester, PA
Easy to negotiate over the phone. Car and paperwork was ready for delivery within 3 hours of final phone call. Maybe could have gotten a few more $$$ off price somewhere else, but not many Hardtops available locally with the options I required.

Pros: Quick and no surprises when I arrived. Sale included a $35 voucher to use in their accessories shop which I used to get a nice license plate bracket.

Cons: None really. Delivery was a little rushed, but they worked me into their schedule on short notice, so not a big deal.

San Diego Mini

Very easy to deal with, as I conducted business over the internet and had offers for the same type of vehicles from other dealers.

Pros: Very open to negotiate if I have evidence of a lower price.

Cons: Little selection as the 2011 models are few, and 2010 models are gone.

mini s. atlanta

i really liked everyone at this dealer. a few months ago all minis were going for sticker, but not any more. i looked at every sight in the south east mini area. i checked how many were in stock and asked the salesman how many they sell a month, and how many they have sold this month. the dealer in n. atlanta would only knock of $350, and all of his stock were loaded up with options. s. atlanta would deal and had many with only cruise control. thats what i wanted. to get a good deal, u have to be willing to walk. i walked three times and they chased me to my car each time. and also, dont take all this pearsonal. be someone that can be talked to with out getting all PEED-OFF. they will try to take ur money at every step of the process. i took the mini select plan because i dont like a lease and this gave me a low $199 paymen, note, this is a baloon loan. use CAUTION, be sure to get gap ins., but not from the dealer. my ins. co. charged me $25 a year. if u have a major loss gap will pay the difference between what the ins pays and ur payoff. they will try to sell u about $4500 in warr, service contracts. i drive easy and so i think that i dont need any of these because the mini is known for not breaking down. now if ur buying for a teen, some of those might be a good deal. remember the best time to buy is the end of the month, and or year.

Pros: they didnt act like jurks and they were willing to discount.

Cons: none
