This is a brand new 2018 Nissan and not a 2017. The form year doesnt let me select 2018 Nissan. I had 14 bids from dealers in the 100 mile radius, compared their best bids, asked the top 3 to resubmit. Went with the second best bid, as they were closer in distance. They went down $400 on their initial bid which was also competitive to start with.

Pros: No hassles, delivered the car, brought me the paperwork. I never set a foot in the dealership.

Cons: They did a pricing error to start with, but were honest to admit it, and gave me the best deal , considering they also delivered same day evening.

They took far too long to finalize the documents, was there for over 3 hours late into the night with infant granddaughter and they were far too slow.

Pros: Lowest offered price of all Chicago area Nissan dealers on this day. There TrueCar bid was lowest and was able to take that down even further.

Cons: Too slooooowww with completing documentation.

Overall the dealership was good, the sales rep was polite as well as the other employees. They strived to get me to purchase the car that I used CarWoo to start the process.

Pros: Willing to REALLY deal online, as opposed to invite you in to talk. Free oil changes life of car (3250 initial and then every 7500 miles), free loaner car life of car, free towing 2 years, free car wash with service.

Cons: There was not pressure, so I have no issues with personalities in dealership. Did try to sell extended warranty, pushed very hard for amped up rain x type treatment for windows, paint treatment, tire protection. No to all, lowered price on all, no. Provided reading material if I wanted to think about it. Nope.

Somewhat dissatisfied. Despite an appearance of friendliness, they tried to deceive us on the sale price, saying intially they'd give us $5K off the MSRP (incl. a $1,500 rebate) and would be losing money on the deal. But the price listed on the contract only discounted the MSRP by $4,250 (incl. the rebate). When the salescreep realize I was about to walk, they took off another $500, for a total reduction of $4,750. I should'a asked to the the contract, B4 waiting 2 hours for them to "fix the paperwork."

Pros: Generally, friendly and low pressure on the sale. Well organized and efficient.

Cons: Deceptive business practices on sale price. Need to examine the sales contract carefully.

I suggest going in with your own financing especially if you can get a better deal thru your bank or credit union. If you use the term, "okay, I understand, you just can't do it at this price, just give me my keys, " they will begin to see you mean business. I did this 3 times. After sending a stronger closer in and I still didn't cave to their "lowest" price, they knew they'd have to budge because I wouldn't. I'm a woman who took advantage of my own stubborness. It worked, I have a beautiful new car. Also, as I was leaving the lot, I kindly asked for free lifetime carwashes, he thought about it asnd said okay, once a month. :-)

Pros: the finance lady, Cathy. that's all I can say about the "best." Cathy is awesome, however you need to watch her closing skills because they are almost better than the dealers, trying to get you to sign the extended warranties. Don't want them, again, don't cave. Politely tell her no thank you.

Cons: as a control tactic, they make you wait. get up walk around, that stresses them.

The actual car we purchased was a Nissan Altima 2.5 SL w/ Connection pkg. The final price we paid "out the door" was $24,665, and even though I've heard of people getting better deals on this car, this car was paid off in cash; we did not finance. In that respect, I think we made a good deal. The dealership was very nice. They let me take out their Altimas for test drives on several occasions, and the salesman only rode along with me the first time! All the other times, I was alone, and it was really nice. Once we were in the sales office though, it felt like we had to pull some teeth to get the car down to a good price. We had to haggle the price WAY down (about $1500 under their initial offer), haggle the price of our trade in WAY up, and we also got an extended warranty for several hundred dollars under their initial asking price. Overall, I think we got the car for a great deal, and I couldn't be happier with my new Altima!

Pros: They were very kind and friendly. They let me take the car out for a spin without even asking for a drivers license as verification! The overall experience lasted about 2 hours, which is ok, but not great.

Cons: Their initial asking price was pretty steep. They gave us a rather crappy trade-in value for our 2 cars ('03 Camry and '02 Solara). They wouldn't budge on attachments asked for the car.

I followed the advice of mailing multiple dealers for the exact car that I was looking for. Even though I got the lowest bid from some other dealer (chevy chase nissan in MD), my valley nissan had the car in color that I wanted. The lowered the price for me although to get it down to what I wanted to pay, I had to make a trip to the dealership. The dealership is quite nice with genuine sales people who understand the cluttered mind of the buyer and even though I was cautious about the scams, It never looked like they would trick me into a scam or buying any additional stuff that I did not want.

Pros: competitive price low dealer cost did not believe in upselling

Cons: for me it was the distance, but had to drive for a good deal

Satisfied with price and staff courtesy, however the process of closing was slow due to several end of month buyers in the store and was there until about 10pm. The 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid trade in was in need of a new engine for $4,000 and new battery pack for $2,400 plus tax from Honda. Plus it had unrepaired light hail damage. Took to CarMax and received $2,500 appraisal and Nalley Nissan matched it while other Nissan dealers only offered $800 - $1,000 trade in.

Pros: Pleasant attitudes of sales and finance representatives.

Cons: Took too long to complete paperwork.

Always try and purchase before the end of a quarter (March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31). Start negotiating with dealer about a week before end of quarter and visit dealer two days before end of quarter and present a "walk out" price that you KNOW they will let you walk at. Then wait.

Pros: No hard sell on extended warranties at all, non-commissioned salespeople.

Cons: Offered a trade-in price that was not that great.

Pros: Price quote via e-mail. Came in to complete the deal w/o any problems and the price quote was the price I pain.

Cons: Ray handed me over to a salesman who was a bit on the lazy side and I had to tell him to fill up my gas tank upon driving out of the dealer ship. Finance guy told me about extended warranty , but I wanted the paperwork to think it over, when I got home, it wasn't included with my paperwork.

Act like you are definitely going to finance the car with them. Negotiate price. Don't accept the first offer.

Pros: Willing to deal. Had several 2008 2.5 S Altimas in stock. Lots of financing options. Cash back right incentives.

Cons: We bought the demo model w/881 miles on it. It's white, which isn't what I would chose, but it's pretty & we saved a lot $$$.

Dealership was ok. I knew they could do better, but were unwilling to go any lower than the price quoted b/c I used internet sales to negotiate my price. That said, I don't think I could have personally negotiated for the price I got.

Pros: Didn't try to pull any fast ones.

Cons: Took an option (emergency roadside kit and first aid kit) out of the car to help "meet my price". Screwed up on the title and titled it with the wrong leinholder. Did not want ot fix it. They said "oh don't worry, if you go to sell the car, just get a letter from that leinholder saying they don't have a lien on your car". I've had some issues with the car that other owners have had and the service department tells me they are all "normal", which I can't believe. I probably won't do business with them again.
