Cadillac Now Offers Certified Pre-Owned Cars

May 19, 2011

In a bid to lure luxury shoppers back, Cadillac has announced it is relaunching its certified pre-owned program.

The certified pre-owned label means a car has undergone a rigorous inspection process, is reconditioned and then given an extended warranty.

The extra expense that comes along with buying a certified pre-owned vehicle is usually worth it.

Cadillac's new Certified Pre-Owned program includes a 172-point vehicle inspection and reconditioning system, and six-year/100,000-mile limited warranty with 24-hour roadside assistance.

It's considered among the best in the industry.

Most other luxury brands offer similar certified pre-owned vehicle programs - even Rolls-Royce recently joined in the CPO game, calling their program "Rolls-Royce Provenance".

Certified Pre-Owned Cadillacs can only be purchased through a franchised Cadillac dealership so be vary of independent used car lots that offer "certified" used cars - they're not the same thing.

My Recommendation for Car Shoppers

TrueCar, Edmunds, and 1-800 Car Show are the quickest way to see the lowest car prices in your area. These sites show you no-haggle prices from dealers closest to you - and the deals are usually really good. This should be the first step you take when negotiating your car price. Follow this up with my checklist to make sure you squeeze out every last bit of savings.

New York Tri-State Residents - Important:

There is a new car leasing service called Carvoy, available to NY tri-state area residents, which I recommend you try - especially if you hate the stress of haggling with car dealerships. Carvoy provides pre-negotiated lease deals, calculated with taxes and all fees incuded so you know exactly what it will cost. Here is my list of Best Carvoy deals, updated each month.
