Top 10 Cheapest Cars to Insure Right Now
Of course, things like fuel economy come into play. But one all-too-often forgotten factor is the cost of car insurance.
There are many things that impact your cost of insurance, including your age, driving history and where you live.
There's not much you can do about your age and existing history, and few people are ready to just up and move in order to save on insurance premiums.
But by choosing one car versus another, you could save hundreds of dollars annually.
That could make as much or more difference that getting that extra 2, 3 or 5 miles per gallon.
CarsDirect recently put together a list of the "Top 10 Cheapest Cars to Insure."
While this particular list applies specifically to a 40-year-old male with good credit and driving record, most people will still likely find these to be among the most affordable vehicles to own when it comes to dealing with insurance.
For those with a poor driving history, the difference between vehicles can become even more dramatic.
It's well worth the time to compare rates before making a final decision on which car to buy.
