Pros: No waiting. Low pressure. Does not advertise "internet prices" that they include rebates they know vast majority of customers will not qualify
Cons: The location isn't great, but that's not a big deal. They have to jam a lot of stuff in a fairly small footprint.

I was very satisfied with my purchase. I received 15+ different offers and had to counter numerous times to get to my final purchase price. Knowing exactly what I wanted and reading all the sections on realcartip's website saved me both time and money.
Pros: Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and not aggressive. What they quoted me online was exactly what I paid when I arrived at the dealer. They did offer me add-ons, but when I declined them they didn't push any further.
Cons: The finance department took about an hour to process paperwork before we could sign anything.

The dealer did not have the car in stock when I bought. It was on a truck. Then, the color I wanted wasn't on the truck, so they switched me to another color
Pros: Price - they gave me a good deal on the trade in and I already had a good price on the vehicle from shopping lots of dealers.
Cons: I got the run around on the color of the car and by then I was just tired - so I didn't get exactly what I had hoped for.

it was a though one. i have to go back the next day to haggle more. my best advice is to patient. the dealership will work out something to make everybody happy.
Pros: they work with me so i can have the best price for the car. the price that is good for their business as well as for me.

Worked with an internet sales specialist and my wife and I are very pleased with the service we received.
Pros: Friendly staff and we never felt like they were trying to hustle us in any way.
Cons: Total transaction took about 4 hours and we didn't get offered any type of beverage or snack throughout the entire process. I would consider this a very minor complaint however.

Pros: Good price; Fast email communication; Fast singing;
Cons: Their finance guy wasn't able to pull the good rate, so make sure you come in with your own financing. Also, this is not one of those "fancy" high-tech honda dealership, but who cares if their price is the best.

Everything was done over the Internet. I got three quotes and Valley was the lowest.
Pros: They were very accomadating. They didn't have my color, but found it in one day. Outside financing wasn't available until Friday, so they held my personal check until I arrived with the Credit Union check.
Cons: They wouldn't give me any discount on wind deflectors for the windows. The dealership wanted $221, installed. I bought them at J. C. Whitney.com for $55.

Decided what price I would pay by using www.trucar.com Let salesperson know I did not want any haggling and would only purchase for a specific price. I had trucar.com printout with me. Only took a couple of minutes for dealer manager to agree to my price.
Pros: Manager agreed to price without haggling. Good selection of vehicles on lot.
Cons: Paperwork took longer than expected (1.5hrs). No treats for waiting kids.

Not a very friendly dealership. I happened to land there because of my friend. I have bought about 6 cars so far and this experience wasn't a good one overall. Dealer plays all kinds of tricks to trap you in and they didn't give the deal work sheet even after the deal was made and financing done through dealer.
Pros: They have good inventory compared to other smaller dealers.
Cons: Very cheap game and didn't respect the buyer or customer. Once deal was done waited for 2 hours to go to the finance department for the loan process. Not just me, couple of other customers too.

Pros: Friendly. Didn't waste our time. Willing to listen and appease our concerns. Very thorough in making sure we understood all of the features of the new car before we left.

I researched for months. Negotiated in person and by email with several dealers. Worked out the ultimate price by email with Boch Honda then went to the dealer and test drove the particular car slated for me (I had test driven one at another dealer previously). The fact that it is end of season inventory clearance of course helped. The salesman I dealt with in person was Jim Travers and he is the polar opposite of a stereotypical salesperson- a true delight. He explained in great deal the various features of the car and was not miffed in the least when I took time to read the fine print. I then met with the manager who finalized the paperwork and the accessories person. I would not recommend walking into a dealership without doing your homework particularly this one as it is big and busy. Prepare to spend a few hours there even if the price is already worked out in advance. Check out AAA rates before agreeing to Honda financing, they may be better.
Pros: Ability to negotiate by email; also the fact that they pay cash for their cars and thus can offer better deals than some other dealers, and definitely Jim Travers.
Cons: A little disorganized due to size. When I was there a few months earlier, the car I wanted was sold and out the door because nobody set aside the title while I was talking to the salesman. It worked out fine in the end. Also, the person I dealt with by email was off for two days and I had to resort to phone calls for further info as she did not have someone monitor her emails during that time period. I think that whether you like this dealer depends on your encounters with specific people and since it is so big, I can only say that Jim Travers, Emily (the accessory person) and Karyn (the manager) were good people with whom to deal.

i emailed every dealership around me first, for the best offer they can give me with the model i am looking for. The dealerships who do not reply with any kind of quotes do not even make it to my list of "dealerships to visit". the quicker they reply, the better. you'll sense that they are on top of things when they do that. I went to consumerreports.org to see the bottom-line price for the car i am interested in, so I know how much the dealers are holding back. this gives me the negotiating power that i need to get the price to go down. i also get my own financing so they cannot haggle me with their rates, thus allowing me to negotiate like a cash buyer. once I get the best reply, i once again make sure that the destination charge is included, and once I have that final email, i print it out, and bring it to the dealership, so everything is documented.
Pros: they were very helpful with the entire transaction. my agent explained everything in great detail, and was contacting me even after the sale to make sure i am completely satisfied with the purchase and the car.
Cons: they tried to trick me with my trade-in, so i ended up selling it somewhere else to get what i want.

I got the information on what the dealer pays for the car from Consumer Reports - including any rebates (holdback) the dealer gets from the manufacturer. Dealer cost for 2008 Honda CRV EX-L 4WD w Nav - $26036 (incl $850 holdback).
Pros: Pleasant, no haggle experience. Polite and knowledgeable sales person. Very good buying experience.
Cons: Disliked Honda's policy of trying to sell additional/extended warranties, protection packages, service bundles etc. Had to run the gauntlet and stay firm while enduring polite, but hard sell tactics.

Terribly long waiting. They tried multiple times to raise price AFTER agreeing to a price. They said they will beat another dealer's price I gave... but ended up paying $439 more (it was too late, it was the last day i could buy a car)
Pros: Close to home.
Cons: I was told they will beat my competitor price i gave ... and i waited and waited. Ended up being higher than the competitor price. So i was leaving, but was told they can get it lower or match competitor price. More waiting. Repeat until it is too late and im at the last hours of the time that i had to purchase at higher price.

Negotiated mostly via email with just about every dealership within 100 miles. Used Truecar & Edmunds and other sites to solicit quotes. I received much better quotes from other dealerships, but they were for colors I didn't want or they included options that I didn't want/need. Jim Williams at Honda of Oxnard was extremely easy to work with and gave me a good price early on in the process. No funny business at all...very straight-forward the entire time and easy to work with.
Pros: No-pressure sales tactics. Good people across the board, including the Finance Manager. They made their pitch for additional options (ext. warranty, paint protection, etc.), which they have to do, but they were not pushy about it at all.
Cons: a little far from where I live...but it was worth the trip.

Pleasant Experience. The least amount of time I spent buying a car. I had received quotes over the internet. So, there was not much to discuss, except some options.
Pros: Did the "Need to talk Manager" only once, and the deal was done. Saved me a lot of aggravation.
Cons: Though I wanted the car for 03/25, they wanted me to take it home the same day - due to some internal accounting reasons. That was a little inconvenient, because I had not prepared for it.

Salesperson was straightforward and easy to work with. Dealer only gave us such a good price after we countereed with a low offer quote we had from a competitor. Orignal price was surprisingly high. Had large selection of cars. Did not seem to pressure us any.
Pros: Wanted to match competitor's price. Offers good customer service.
Cons: Original offer price was very high and once we coutered with a competitor's offer, they came down to meet it.

They had a good selections of vehicles and allows my wife to come by several times, so she could make up her mind what vehicle she wanted.
Pros: Good selection of cars. Stable dealership.
Cons: We were waiting the the cash for clunkers and had all our paper work done ahead of schedule. When the program started, we were waiting to find out what time to come by. At 2:00, my wife called to find out what the problem was. The salesman said there was a meeting that morning and Honda was on hold He said it be Monday or Tuesday before we could purchase the vehicle. The problem is that it was not mention to us until my wife had to make the call. Also we had problems starting the XM subscription. We had to make several calls and finally go over to have them look at it. I don't know what the final problem was, but after going there, they were able to fix it.

They didn't have the color I wanted but are in the process of getting it from another store. Hastle free experience - no BS no ectra stuff forced on me.
Pros: Courteous & knowledgeable staff - not a highway type store. Great service department - this is my 4th Honda purchase from them.
Cons: Not a lot of inventory on display - they are space constrained but have lots of inventory stored off site. Can't see all the trim levels and colors.

Criswell is an excellent dealer. Have purchased vehicles from them before. They do not provide lowest quote by e-mail. The do promise to beat any competetor price. Experience shows they will. I may have been able to lower the price a bit further, but with the trade-in, I didn't want to argue over a few hundred dollars. I have also used Criswell for service which has been first rate as well. That also entered into my decision to purchase from Criswell.
Pros: Sales people are knowledgeable and show respect for customer. I detected no games. Clean, modern show room and service area. U=Even the finance guy was unusually pleasent. As an added service, they put new plates on the vehicle at the showroom. I have never seen this before.
Cons: The $100 doc fee.

Moderately satisfied... requested the best deal for an EX-L in a specific color, no options, and was given a quote; once I arrived in dealer they didn't have the requested vehicle on stock, only with additional options. Had to settle for another color, with no options (as I wanted it), at the agreed-upon price.
Pros: Salespeople were very nice.
Cons: Management fairly inflexible, I actually walked out and away twice intent on not buying anything (after credit was approved).
