New Cars You Should Wait to Buy

May 3, 2018

Using TrueCar's database of average prices paid on new vehicles, I compiled a list of 50 cars you should avoid buying right now due to high demand / low supply (or in some cases other factors).

For many of these vehicles, if you wait just a few months, you could save upwards of $2,000 or even more. I've seen vehicles drop in price by $5,000 after the initial demand dies down.

Not all of these vehicles will drop in price, but the more "popular" the brand, the more likely it will drop once supply catches up. Also, some of these vehicles may be in high demand longer than just a few months. For example, special edition models like the Honda Civic Type R may not see prices come down for a long while.
