Replacing the Chevy Malibu in the top spot was the Chevrolet Cruze, now the most popular car in the country.
Two other Chevrolets made June's list of the top 20 best-selling cars in America: the Impala and the Camaro.
The reason for Chevy's high marks is that Toyota Camry sales fell 24.8% while Honda Accord dropped 36.1%, and Corolla/Matrix sales fell 13.7% - all a result of the Japanese earthquake/tsunami.
Korean cars staked a claim in the Top 20 with four models.
Germany was represented by BMW 3-Series and Volkswagen Jetta.
The rest are split between American and Japanese brands.
