With only about a week left in 2013, car dealerships are chomping at the bit to get car shoppers to sign the dotted line and help them move the remaining 2013 inventory to make more room for the 2014 models. So if you're in the market for a new car, right now is the best time of year to buy.

Consumer Reports has the low-down on some of fantastic deals going on right now until the beginning of the New Year on cars such as the 2013 Toyota Avalon, 2013 Volvo S60, and 2013 Volkswagen Passat, with savings of up to $4,900 off.

My Recommendation for Car Shoppers

TrueCar No-Haggle, Edmunds Price Promise, and 1-800 Car Show are the quickest way to see the lowest car prices in your area. These sites show you no-haggle prices from dealers closest to you - and the deals are usually really good. This should be the first step you take when negotiating your car price.
