Deals Begin on Leftover 2011 Models
It's that time of year again when we start seeing deals on leftover models.
Around half of the 2012 models have already arrived in dealer showrooms, which means the remaining 2011 models need to sell fast to make room.
We're expecting leftover models to sell at a brisk pace this year due to inventory shortages - both new and used models are in low supply.
As always, the deals should get better as we reach the end of the year, however, you will have fewer cars to choose from and may not get the colors or options you desire.
Some popular leftover models such as the Toyota Camry may even completely sell out before we reach the end of the year.
To complicate matters, experts are anticipating an incentives war between the Japanese manufacturers sometime after October.
Manufacturers such as Toyota, Honda, and Nissan need to gain back lost market share due to the devastating earthquake, so they should be offering more attractive incentives on both leftover and the newer 2012 models.
Again, the question is whether there will be enough leftover models available when the incentives start to increase.
If you want to wait for better deals, you may be looking at a very limited choice of leftovers, yet better deals on the 2012 models.
