Cars.com Rates the Best Subcompact Cars

If you're shopping for a subcompact vehicle, you should take a look at the recent Cars.com subcompact comparison shootout.

They judged the following seven cars, all priced below $16,000.

The testing took place over three days with 5 expert judges and a regular couple from California.

Here are the overall results of the shootout:

  2. 2012 Kia Rio (718 points)
  3. 2012 Hyundai Accent (697 points)
  4. 2012 Chevrolet Sonic (654 points)
  5. 2012 Ford Fiesta (641 points)
  6. 2012 Toyota Yaris (585 points)
  7. 2012 Nissan Versa (513 points)

And here are the results of the fuel-economy test, where they drove each car over a 200-mile loop around the Los Angeles area:
