Good Time to Buy 2010 Mazda6 or Ford Mustang

Buyers who are considering either of these cars should be able to get a good deal right now.

The sweet spot will be between now and the end of March. Dealerships are going to be trying to clear lot space for 2011 models in advance of early summer deliveries, and more importantly the production slowdown should not affect supply and demand for the near term.

Comparing the Mazda6 to its competitors, it lost nearly a third of its sales from 2008 to 2009, compared to roughly one quarter for Nissan's Altima and Honda's Accord. The Toyota Camry only experienced a drop of 18 percent, though that is likely to be affected this year by the spate of recalls.
