SUVs With the Best Gas Mileage
March 20, 2014With the price of gas still high, fuel efficiency is an important consideration when looking to purchase a new car. Historically, SUVs were never considered very fuel efficient, however, that has changed over the last few years as car manufacturers realize car buyers need space, but also don't want to get charged exorbitant amounts at the pump.
Consumer Reports recently put a list together of what they consider the most fuel efficient SUVs on the market today. The list of 36 vehicles is topped by the Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited in the #1 spot, with an overall MPG of 27. Next on the list is the Lexus RX 450h, followed by the Subaru XV Crosstrek Premium at #3. Below is a look at the full list of 36 SUVs.
If you're considering purchasing any of these SUVs, I recommend you use TrueCar No Haggle and CarsDirect to see the lowest prices local dealers are offering on these vehicles.
