Top 10 Most Popular Cars Right Now
There was a big drop in car sales last month, especially with Japanese models.
Toyota was hit the hardest, with a huge 28% drop from a year ago. Their Lexus division was down 40%!
Honda sales dropped 16% while Nissan lost 9%.
Subaru was down 15.3% after posting months of strong sales.
Ford and GM fared better, seeing sales drop only 0.1% and 1.2% respectively.
Ford's new 2012 Focus was up 31.7% - to 22,303 units, and Chevy's Cruze beat Focus with 22,711 units sold.
Chrysler was in positive territory, with sales increasing 10% thanks to the new Chrysler 200 sedan, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Dodge Durango SUVs.
Chrysler rolled past Toyota and Honda to become the #3 most popular automaker in the U.S. behind GM and Ford.
