The Big Mistake Most Car Shoppers Make
A new study conducted by DMEautomotive has found that about 16% -- roughly one in six car buyers -- do not take even one test drive before purchasing a car. And 33% of car buyers only test drive one car before making their purchase decision.
The study surveyed about 2,000 car buyers, and researchers believe the data is reflective of car buyers attempting to avoid dealerships when making a purchase. The survey also took a look at how many dealerships car buyers visited before purchasing. about 68% said they visited only two dealerships or less before buying, and 40% went to only one dealership.
