Best & Worst New Cars to Buy Now

As most of you already know, microchip shortages have resulted in the largest increase in car prices ever! These days it seems like you're getting a deal if you manage to pay MSRP (which is insane). You may realize that now is a terrible time to purchase, but many of you NEED to get a car and can't wait months (or maybe even a year or more) for prices to come back to normal.

This week I analyzed current selling prices of all new vehicles and compared them to what they were selling for at the beginning of the year when shortages were not a big problem. Chrysler and Jeep came out as the top brands you want to avoid purchasing right now, as they are selling for 11% more on average than at the beginning of the year. Surprisingly, there are some models that are actually selling for a lot less than they were before the chip shortages, so these are definitely models you may want to consider if you're forced to buy now. Hope you find the following tables useful.

If you do decide to buy a new car in this environment, I recommend you use TrueCar No Haggle and CarsDirect to quickly see the lowest prices being offered in your local area.
