Cars With the Highest Resale Value
July 10, 2014
Let's face it -- when you're buying a new car, the last thing you're thinking about is whether the resale value of the car is going to hold up if you decide to sell it in a few years.
However, a car is an asset and you want it to retain its value so if you do decide to sell it in a few years, you don't want to feel like you got short changed. Kelley Blue Book understands this, and so each year they name the vehicles and brands with the highest resale values. The 2014 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards takes a look at which auto manufacturers produce vehicles that retain their value the best over the first five years of ownership.
When it comes to overall brand, this year's Best Brand winner is Toyota for the third time in a row. And Lexus was named the Best Luxury Brand. Not surprisingly, the top 10 list of Best Resale Value Award winners is dominated by Toyota with four vehicles on the list -- FJ Cruiser, Tacoma, 4Runner and Tundra. Also on the list are the Chevrolet Corvette, Honda CR-V, Jeep Wrangler, and Dodge Challenger. See the full Top 10 list below.
Thinking of buying one of these vehicles? Make sure to use TrueCar No Haggle and CarsDirect for the best deals possible.

The key to getting the best deal is to gather price or lease bids from as many local dealers as possible. Then shop that best price around until no one can beat it. Here are the steps:Step 1 Get Prices From My Trusted Network
Select the vehicle you're interested in to see if there are local dealers in my network who will provide you with their best upfront price.
