Popular Cars with Lots of Recalls
December 18, 2014There haven been many vehicle recalls issued this year, making car buyers a bit pickier when it comes to selection. And although logic may conclude the more popular a vehicle is the less recalls it will have, that is not always the case.
Bankrate.com recently released a list of the 10 most popular vehicles with the highest incidence of recalls from 2007 to 2013. At the top of the list is the Chevrolet Cruze, with an average of 4.8 recalls. Others on the list are the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Nissan Altima, and Chrysler Town & Country.
|Vehicle||Avg. # of Recalls||Est. Hours Lost|
|Jeep Grand Cherokee||4.4||13.2|
|Dodge Ram 1500||4.3||12.9|
|Chrysler Town & Country||3.5||10.5|
|Dodge Grand Caravan||3||9.1|
3 Steps Every Car Buyer Needs to Take to Save Maximum MoneyThe key to getting the best deal is to gather price or lease bids from as many local dealers as possible. Then shop that best price around until no one can beat it. Here are the steps:
Step 1 Get Prices From My Trusted NetworkSelect the vehicle you're interested in to see if there are local dealers in my network who will provide you with their best upfront price. You will get direct access to an internet sales manager who you can further negotiate with online (no need to visit dealership).
