Special Lease Offer for California
Last month, I wrote about a new app called Fair, which lets you essentially "lease" used cars on a month-to-month basis, including basic maintenance and warranty - all at a great price. You can read my original article here.
So far, I've gotten feedback from one reader who ended up getting a 2017 Toyota Camry LE for $200 per month. He reported there were no hidden fees, and that communication was very responsive and smooth. His only complaint was that the first 3 vehicles he chose had already been leased out (but there was no bait-and-switch, Fair informed him ahead of time).
So far, so good - but I'm looking for more feedback from readers. Fair seems to be a great new service, but before I can give my seal of approval, I'd like to get at least three or four more readers to try it and give me their feedback.
Fair reached out to me with a new promotion code for you guys that is good until end of October - a $1,000 discount that goes toward the start payment on any deal (which in most cases should cover the entire start payment).
This discount is limited to the first 10 RealCarTips readers who use it, so if you live in California and want to take advantage of this, I suggest you do it soon.
Here is the discount code you should use: REALCARTIPS
Simply enter the code in the "promotions" link under the menu in the top left corner of the app.
I'm eager to get feedback from readers who end up using this service. If you do use it, please email me at gregg@realcartips.com and let me know what kind of experience you had so I can share with the rest of my readers - thanks!
3 Steps Every Car Buyer Needs to Take to Save Maximum Money
The key to getting the best deal is to gather price or lease bids from as many local dealers as possible. Then shop that best price around until no one can beat it. Here are the steps:Step 1 Get Prices From My Trusted Network
Select the vehicle you're interested in to see if there are local dealers in my network who will provide you with their best upfront price. You will get direct access to an internet sales manager who you can further negotiate with online (no need to visit dealership).Step 2 Get Prices From TrueCar / CarsDirect
TrueCar, and CarsDirect are my top 2 online price quote recommendations. These services show you pre-negotiated prices from dealers closest to you - and the deals are usually pretty decent. But remember, you can still negotiate further.Step 3 Complete my Checklist
Follow this up with my checklist to make sure you squeeze out every last bit of savings.- Gregg Fidan
